Jodhpur, Rajasthan: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday conducted a major raid at the house of Vivek Kachchhwaha, a suspended Bank of Baroda manager from the Raimalwada branch. The raid lasted for nearly seven hours, from morning till afternoon, and was related to a case of disproportionate assets—that is, property and wealth more than his known sources of income.

Luxurious Properties and Investments Found
The CBI searched Vivek’s house located in Jai Teeja Enclave in the Nagauri Bera area of Mandore. During the search, the team found documents related to a luxurious bungalow worth several crores, agricultural land worth lakhs in the Daijer area, a plot in Raimalwada bought during his time as bank manager and investments worth lakhs in the stock market and LIC policies.
In addition, the CBI found other documents and evidence related to financial transactions. The team is now trying to find out the current market value of all the properties and assets.

Caught Red-Handed Taking Bribe in February
Earlier, on February 17, 2025, the CBI had arrested Vivek while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 in return for approving a Kisan Credit Card loan. At that time, CBI had also searched his bank accounts and locker, where they found over 80 tolas of gold jewellery. Following this, he was suspended from his job at the bank.
Since that arrest, Vivek has been under CBI surveillance. The agency began investigating his bank transactions, investments, and property purchases. During this investigation, the CBI found that his wealth was far more than what he legally earned—leading to this latest raid.
Fresh FIR Filed by CBI on July 8
On July 8, a new FIR (First Information Report) was filed by Inspector Madan Beniwal on the instructions of CBI (Anti-Corruption Bureau) Jodhpur DIG Rajveer Singh. The FIR alleges that Vivek illegally acquired wealth that is many times more than his known income.
Disproportionate Assets: Income vs. Wealth
According to the CBI:
- Between June 1, 2024, and February 17, 2025, Vivek acquired assets worth ₹58.59 lakh
- These included gold, cash, bank balances, a car, shares, and agricultural land in Daijer village
- However, during the same period, his total legal income (including bank salary) was only ₹17.48 lakh
- Out of that, he spent about ₹5.75 lakh on home loan EMI, income tax, and other expenses
In comparison, his total assets and expenses were found to be ₹64.35 lakh, which is about 260% more than his known income. This suggests that he illegally earned nearly ₹46.86 lakh, which is now being treated as black money or unaccounted income.
More details will be released soon.
