The election process for the posts of president and vice president of the Almora District Cooperative Bank in Uttarakhand concluded peacefully on Saturday. With only one nomination for each post, Mini Latwal was elected unopposed as president and Bhavana Joshi was elected as vice president.
Mini Latwal will now be in charge of District Cooperative Bank. The election process began at 10 a.m. Saturday at the bank premises on Mall Road. Mini Latwal, a BJP-supported candidate, filed nomination for the post of president. Dr. Bhavana Joshi filed her nomination for the post of vice president.
No other candidates filed nominations for either position. After scrutiny, both nominations were found to be valid, and they were declared elected unopposed.
Mini Latwal was elected unopposed as director from Hawalabag ward number 13, and Bhavana Joshi was elected unopposed as director from Garud ward number 2. There was no Congress candidate contesting for the post of president.
After the election process was completed, supporters welcomed the newly elected president and vice president. Bank officials congratulated both newly elected officials.
