Big Fraud at Baroda UP Gramin Bank, Two Bank Employees absconding

A case of fraud involving crores of rupees by employees at the Baroda UP Gramin Bank Bhawani Chhapar branch has recently come to light. This discovery has left senior officials at the bank shocked, prompting an investigation at their level. In response to the matter, the regional manager’s legal advisor at the Baroda UP Gramin Bank Deoria office has lodged a complaint with the Shrirampur police station. The investigation is currently being conducted by the in-charge of the Bhawani Chhapar outpost.

Actions Taken and Additional Complaints

The newly appointed branch manager, Arvind Kumar Gautam, has also reported the incident to senior police officials. Subsequently, an investigation is underway from the office of the Area Officer Bhatpar Rani. In his complaint to the police, Arvind Kumar Gautam stated that the branch manager, Rahul Singh, and office assistant, Abhishek Ranjan, employed at the Bhawani Chhapar branch, have been involved in significant financial misconduct amounting to more than one crore rupees. The revelation of this misconduct has caused anxiety among bank officials, leading to a four-day investigation by senior officials and involvement of the Shrirampur police.

Status of the Investigation

As of now, both accused bank employees are reportedly absconding. The Senior Head Officer (SHO), Kalyan Singh Sagar, has confirmed the receipt of the complaint and stated that an investigation is currently underway. Additionally, the area officer, Shiv Pratap Singh, has affirmed that the bank branch manager’s complaint regarding irregularities at the Bhavani Chhapar Baroda Bank branch is being thoroughly investigated. Once the facts are gathered, appropriate action will be taken.
