
On Monday, a bank robbery took place at Utkarsh Small Finance Bank in Patna, where 14 lakh rupees were looted. The incident occurred at around 10:45 am when six armed criminals entered the bank and locked the employees and customers in the bathroom. Within six minutes, they managed to loot 14 lakh rupees from the bank’s vault and fled the scene. All the criminals were wearing masks to conceal their identities.

Police Investigation and Response
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police promptly arrived at the scene. Bihta DSP Pankaj Kumar Mishra and his team are currently present at the bank, working to identify the criminals with the help of CCTV footage. According to the bank manager, Rajesh Kumar, the bank opened as usual at around 7 am. He had left the bank for some work when he received a phone call informing him about the robbery. The criminals, armed and wearing gamchhas and masks, entered the bank and initially took the security guard hostage. They then threatened the people present in the bank, locked them in the bathroom, and proceeded to loot the vault. The entire incident took place within a span of six minutes.

It is worth noting that this is not the first bank robbery in the area. Just last month, 10 lakhs were looted from Mahindra Finance Bank, which is located near the Bihta police station area. These incidents highlight the need for enhanced security measures and vigilance in the banking sector.
