Bhubaneswar, September 26, 2025:
The Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association (BOBOA), Bhubaneswar Zone, has announced a demonstration in Ranchi following the tragic death of a Senior Manager earlier this week.
The officer posted in the Ranchi Region under Bhubaneswar Zone, took his own life on September 20, 2025, after being called for a Regional Office meeting that reportedly extended late into the night, until 10:00 p.m.
Shri Iswar Chand Jha, Senior Manager, Ranchi, ended his life during the night of 19th–20th September 2025. He was going home daily after 9 p.m. because of overstaying in the branch to meet out the work pressure. This spoiled his work life balance and disrupted his family life. Ultimately, he committed suicide.
The association has termed the suicide incident as a result of “repeated guideline violations” and the growing pressure on employees. The association has decided to stage a protest against anti-staff policies of Bank. The demonstration will be held at the Bank of Baroda Regional Office, Ranchi, on September 26, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

it appears that this incident confines to a zone or to a region only and rest of the zones, offices, employees either consider themselves as safe and unaffected from such petty incidents or they have lost their senstivity. koi fark nai.
if we get hurt in a part of body, the entire body gets affected due to pain but when it comes to life of bank employee, their personal safety and family life obligations then the unions, their leaders, the employees are least bothered for real issues like suicide
