On Tuesday evening, four unidentified criminals assaulted the cashier of Bank of Baroda on Ghanshyampur Road in the Badlapur area of Jaunpur. They attempted to snatch the keys to the cash and safe. Bank staff members are deeply disturbed by the incident. Thana in-charge Rohit Mishra informed that necessary action is being taken based on the complaint filed by the affected cashier, Shishir Maurya.
Shishir Maurya, a resident of Ruhtta Jaunpur, was returning home after completing his work at the Bank of Baroda branch as usual. As soon as he left the branch to catch a bus for Jaunpur from Ghanshyampur Road, a group of four assailants, who were already lying in wait, started assaulting him. Shishir also alleged that the criminals attempted to steal the keys to the bank and cash.
Upon raising an alarm, the assailants fled from the scene. Instead of going home, Shishir returned to the branch and informed the branch manager, Gaurav Singh, about the incident. As soon as they learned of the incident, the branch manager, along with Assistant Manager Sudhir Kumar, clerk Mohit Prajapati, clerk Dilip Yadav, and office assistant Rajkumar Saroj, reached the police station to report the incident and file an FIR.
once again shocking news for every Bank employee.
It was not first time when Bank employee is targetted and brutually beaten. This is a matter of serious concern that why employee of dedicately service provider organisation like Banks are targetted. In my opinion RBI must post security guard in every branch of Bank.
Posting of security guard attracts the fear among miscreants.
