Bank of Baroda Officers are protesting against unfair transfers. Recently, the matter reached Labour Ministry and a meeting was organised at the office of Chief Labour Commissioner between Bank of Baroda management and union.
On 8th August 2025, Com. Lokesh Mishra, Secretary and Com. Seetha Ram I.V., Vice President, represented Bank of Baroda Officers’ Union in the joint discussion convened by the Dy. CLC (C), Mumbai. The management was represented by Mr. Arun Kumar, AGM–HR, assisted by Shri Shiv Nath Bali, Chief Manager–IR, both from Head Office. Written submissions were exchanged between both parties in the presence of the Dy. CLC.
After hearing both sides, the Dy. CLC directed both parties to produce concrete documentary evidence to substantiate their respective claims and rebuttals. The matter is now posted for the next hearing on 10th September, 2025.
The union has put forward following demands:
- Full disclosure of the appraisal process, including the logic and parameters of COHORT classification.
- Public announcement of all promotion results in a transparent manner.
- Revelation of the formula for converting grades to marks and the rationale behind weightage distribution.
- Scientific, fair, and individual-centric evaluation of every officer’s performance.
The demand of Union is genuine.
There has not been transparency in internal promotion examination and there is promoted to favourism, consideration by way of system driven for favourism and followed transparency. Even if result is not published in the mail to all users.
Transfer has also been bios.
Even who officials work back office suitable promotion, suitable transfer, even not performing.
