Bank Manager Caught Taking Rs.40,000 Bribe at Customer’s Home in Kota
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team in Kota has arrested a bank officer for taking a bribe of ₹40,000. The accused, Atul Singh, was working as an assistant manager at Marudhara Rajasthan Gramin Bank and was caught red-handed at the complainant’s house.
According to officials, the bank officer had demanded a bribe to release the second installment of a home loan. The loan amount had been pending for the last three months, which caused serious trouble for the borrower.
The assistant manager released the pending loan installment on Monday and allegedly started pressuring the complainant with repeated phone calls to collect the bribe money.
Acting swiftly under the leadership of Vijay Swarnakar, the SP of Kota ACB, the team laid a trap and caught Atul Singh while accepting the ₹40,000 bribe at the complainant’s residence.
The accused has been arrested, and the ACB has started further legal action in the case. The incident has once again raised serious concerns about corruption in the banking system.
