Angry Customers Lock PNB Branch in Shamli, Police called
Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: Angry customers locked the Punjab National Bank branch in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh and prevented staff from leaving the premises. The incident caused chaos in and around the bank.
Customers in Jalalabad town of Shamli district created ruckus in the branch premises. Customers alleges that a Bank Mitra (banking correspondent) had misappropriated lakhs of rupees.

According to the customers, they had deposited cash to the Bank Mitra named Ankur, but the cash was not deposited in their accounts.

The affected customers have submitted a written complaint to the bank manager and demanded that their missing money be recovered and returned.
This is a very serious issue and bank should immediately investigate the entire issue. More details will be released soon.
