Get ready, Ayodhya! Your city is about to become a major railway hub, with the inauguration of two brand-new Amrit Bharat Express trains, alongside six Vande Bharat Express trains, on December 30th.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to grace the occasion, marking a significant milestone in Ayodhya’s development. While official confirmation from the PMO is awaited, railway officials have already confirmed the grand event.

This launch marks the debut of the Amrit Bharat Express, a non-AC sleeper train designed for affordability and long-distance travel. Two trains will be launched initially, with one serving the Ayodhya-Darbhanga route and the other operating in South India.

For Ayodhya residents, a direct connection to Anand Vihar (Delhi) via Vande Bharat Express is a major perk. Five other routes, including Vaishno Devi-New Delhi, Jalna-Mumbai, Coimbatore-Bengaluru, Amritsar-Delhi, and Mangaluru Central-Madgaon, will further enhance connectivity.

The non-AC Amrit Bharat Express promises comfort and convenience. With 22 coaches, it features 12 second-class 3-tier sleeper cars, 8 general second-class coaches, and two guard compartments with dedicated space for ladies and differently-abled passengers. The train will operate at an average speed of 130 kmph, offering a faster and smoother travel experience.

This is just the beginning for Ayodhya’s railway network. Plans are underway to introduce a mega plan connecting Ayodhya with major cities through Vande Bharat trains, making it even easier for pilgrims and tourists to visit the holy city.
