AIBOC Demands Strict Action After Attack on Central Bank of India Officers in Maharashtra

The All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) Maharashtra State-II Unit has demanded strict action against those allegedly involved in an attack on officers and employees of Central Bank of India at Khamgaon in Buldhana district, Maharashtra.

The shocking incident took place in Buldhana district in Khamgaon branch of Central Bank of India. The district president of the Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana – Amol Patil, physically assaulted the branch manager. The accused said that Bank manager was not providing details of loan waiver to farmers. Angered by this, he attacked the branch manager.

AIBOC Delegation Meets District Administration and Police

Under the guidance of AIBOC Maharashtra State-II Unit State Secretary Mahendra Dhondse, a delegation of the organisation and representatives of its affiliated organisations submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate and Additional Superintendent of Police, Buldhana.

The delegation demanded immediate and impartial action against those responsible for the attack. It also sought justice for the affected bank employees and stronger measures to ensure the safety of bankers at their workplaces.

The delegation included Ritesh Gadekar, Ashish Tekale, Walade and Parag Deshmukh.

FIR Registered Against Accused

According to AIBOC, the police have registered an FIR against the accused under Sections 132, 115(2), 121(2), 351(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The delegation requested the district administration and police to conduct a fair and time-bound investigation and take appropriate legal action against those found responsible.

AIBOC Demands Safe Working Environment for Bank Employees

AIBOC said bank officers and employees perform important public responsibilities, including implementing government welfare schemes, promoting financial inclusion and providing banking services to citizens.

The organisation said incidents of violence against bank employees while they are performing their official duties should be dealt with firmly.

AIBOC Says It Will Continue to Pursue the Matter

AIBOC Maharashtra State-II Unit reiterated its commitment to protecting the dignity, safety and professional rights of bank officers and employees.

The organisation said it would continue to pursue the matter until justice is delivered and adequate measures are taken to provide a safe and secure working environment for bank employees.
