Abha Yaduvanshi and Gunjeet Pannu elected as Shareholder Directors of Canara Bank

Ms. Abha Singh Yaduvanshi and Shri Gunjeet Singh Pannu have been elected as Shareholder Directors of Canara Bank under Section 9(3)(i) of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 with effect from 27th July, 2025. They shall hold office until the completion of a period of three years up to 26th July, 2028.

Ms. Abha Singh Yaduvanshi

Ms. Abha Singh Yaduvanshi, Shareholder Director of Canara Bank since 27.07.2022, is re-elected as a shareholder director w.e.f. July 27, 2025 and shall hold office until the completion of a period of three years up to July 26, 2028.

Ms. Abha Singh Yaduvanshi, aged 63 years, is BA Economics (Hons), MA (Economics) and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) by qualification. She retired as Additional Secretary from Lok Sabha Secretariat. During her service she acquired knowledge & experience in Banking matters, Finance, Agriculture, Information Technology etc.

Shri Gunjeet Singh Pannu

Shri Gunjeet Singh Pannu has been elected as a shareholder director of Canara Bank w.e.f. July 27, 2025 and shall hold office until the completion of a period of three years up to July 26, 2028.

Shri Gunjeet Singh Pannu, aged 63 years, B.Com, FCA, LLB is a former Vice-President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (lTAT). He has an overall experience of over 39 years, as a practicing professional and in an adjudicatory capacity, having served with ITAT, Ministry of Law & Justice, Govt. of India, a statutory quasi- judicial body. He has rich and diverse experience in the fields of Accountancy, Finance, Banking, Direct Taxes, Laws, etc.
