The All India Punjab & Sind Bank Officers’ Federation (Code-91) has raised serious concerns over the alleged harassment of employees, excessive work pressure, denial of staff welfare benefits and safety issues at the bank’s Regional Office in Noida. In a representation dated November 4, 2026, addressed to the Chief General Manager (HRD) of Punjab & Sind Bank, the federation has sought immediate intervention by the bank’s top management and demanded an independent inquiry into the working conditions and administrative practices in the Noida region.

The federation has alleged that the Regional Manager, Deputy Regional Manager and other regional office officials have created an unfriendly and stressful work environment for branch employees. According to the representation, the management’s approach has negatively affected the mental well-being, physical safety and morale of officers and employees working in the region.

2. Rotation-based transfers in Delhi-NCR: Officials are allegedly transferred repeatedly between the Head Office, Corporate Office and nearby Delhi-NCR locations, allowing them to avoid postings at distant locations.

8. Late-evening video conferences: The management is accused of conducting video conferences late in the evening, forcing branch managers and employees to remain at work beyond normal operational hours.

9. Video conferences during lunch breaks: The federation alleges that video conferences are deliberately scheduled around 2:00 PM, disturbing employees during their customary lunch hours.

12. Delay or rejection of TA/DA claims: Legitimate claims for Travelling Allowance (TA) and Daily or Halting Allowance (DA) incurred during official duties are allegedly delayed indefinitely or rejected arbitrarily.

13. Withholding or delaying branch End of Day (EoD): The regional management is accused of withholding or delaying branch EoD, preventing employees from closing daily operations at reasonable hours.

14. Revocation of EoD to keep employees at work: The federation alleges that EoD is revoked to force branch employees to remain at work until late at night.

15. Pressure to clear old operational pendencies overnight: Branch employees are allegedly being forced to resolve pending operational issues accumulated over several years or decades within a single night.

6. Mandate for a Humane and Conducive Work Culture: Enforce clear operating guidelines safeguarding mental well-being, psychological safety, and reasonable working hours to prevent stress-induced tragedies and enhance institutional productivity.

7. Institutional Safeguards for Legacy Issues: Formulate practical, phased roadmaps for resolving legacy operational backlog without resorting to coercive measures or threats against current branch incumbents.
