Association’s Stand & Safety Guidelines
The Union Bank of India Officers’ Association – Tamilnadu has strongly condemned the act of violence, stating that no officer or employee should ever face intimidation or physical assault while executing their responsibilities. Extending full support to the victim and the branch staff, the Association emphasized that the safety and dignity of officers are paramount and non-negotiable.
In an advisory to all comrades, the Association has highlighted crucial safety protocols:
- Avoid Staying Late: Officers are strongly urged not to remain in branches beyond official working hours.
- Prioritize Safety Over Targets: Recovery and NPA prevention measures are important, but they must never be pursued at the cost of personal safety. All recovery efforts must strictly follow proper official procedures and precautions.

- Immediate Escalation: In the event of threats, abuse, or intimidation, employees should instantly seek assistance from relevant authorities and inform the Association.
