Guna, Madhya Pradesh: The court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of bank manager Vivek Raghuvanshi, a resident of Sisodia Colony, accused of raping a 25-year-old woman in the City Kotwali police station area.
He is alleged to have raped the woman in his friend’s room in Vindhyachal Colony.
The woman filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station on September 6. She stated that she lives on rent with her son in Vindhyachal Colony and runs a parlor from home.

Her friend, Shaifali Shakya, also lives as a tenant in the same house. According to the woman, on September 5th, at around 6 p.m., Shaifali’s friend Golu Raghuvanshi Vineka came to visit her with his friend Vivek Raghuvanshi. Shaifali, Golu, and Vivek were drinking alcohol in the room. It is alleged that Vivek also forced the woman to drink alcohol.
After some time, Shaifali and Golu left the room, leaving the woman and Vivek alone in the room. The woman alleges that Vivek tried to lock the door. When asked why, he pushed her to the ground and forcibly raped her. The woman screamed, but her voice went unnoticed.
According to the woman, she managed to escape the room and told Shaifali and Golu about the incident.
The woman, devastated by the incident, informed the incident to her friends and relatives. The police registered the case and started investigation. Vivek was subsequently arrested by Police.
Accused bank manager Vivek Raghuvanshi had applied to the court for anticipatory bail. During the hearing, the court noted that the co-accused’s bail plea had already been rejected and he was in jail. Considering the gravity of the case, the court deemed it inappropriate to grant anticipatory bail to the main accused and dismissed the petition.
