The Reserve Bank of India has released the 44th half-yearly report on the management of foreign exchange reserves, covering data as of end-March 2025.
As of April 25, 2025, India’s foreign exchange reserves stood at USD 688.13 billion, comprising:
- Foreign Currency Assets (FCA): USD 580.66 billion
- Gold: USD 84.37 billion
- Special Drawing Rights (SDRs): USD 18.59 billion
- Reserve Tranche Position (RTP): USD 4.51 billion

Since February 2004, the Reserve Bank has been publishing these half-yearly reports to promote transparency and enhance public disclosure regarding the management of the nation’s foreign exchange reserves.
