A shocking case has been reported from Hyderabad, Telangana. The body of a 34-year-old bank employee has been discovered in a hotel room, and this has caused widespread uproar. Police have registered a murder case and intensified the search for the main suspect, who was staying with the deceased.
The deceased woman has been identified as B. Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram in Vikarabad district. She worked as a customer-care executive at a bank. Sirisha had checked into the Gokul Pride Hotel in SR Nagar on September 24th with a man named A. Srinivas.
Police investigations have revealed that the two used fake names and identity documents to book a room at the hotel. According to hotel records, Srinivas had registered his name as “Ganesh” and Sirisha’s name as “Durga.” They were staying in room number 10.
According to reports, Srinivas left the hotel at around 3:30 am on Tuesday, telling the reception that Sirisha would have breakfast in the morning and then check out.
When there was no response from the room for a long time, and the door remained unopened despite repeated calls, the hotel staff became suspicious. They then informed the police. When the room was opened with a master key in the presence of the police, Sirisha’s body was found on the bed.
Meanwhile, DCP Ramana Reddy said, “We suspect that Sirisha and Srinivas had a heated argument that night, after which he attacked Sirisha with a heavy or sharp object, resulting in her death. In light of this, the SR Nagar police have registered a case of murder under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and further investigation is underway.”
According to sources, police found several injuries on the deceased’s body. It is suspected that a curtain rod may have been used in the murder, although the exact cause of death will only be revealed after the final postmortem report is released.
CCTV footage from the hotel is being examined to understand the accused’s arrival and departure times and the entire sequence of events. Special police teams have been formed to apprehend the accused, Srinivas.
Police are also investigating the discrepancy between the name on the documents (Durga) and the name on the hospital records (Sirisha). They are also investigating whether the deceased’s previous alleged assault by her husband had any connection to this incident.
