
Connection to a ₹17 lakh robbery at Axis Bank in Bhojpur has been revealed from a Bengal jail. A daylight robbery occurred at the Axis Bank on Circuit House Road in the Nawada area, with the mastermind of the robbery found to be a notorious criminal incarcerated in a Bengal jail.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) revealed that the mastermind of this loot operation resides in Dhanauti in Vaishali district and is currently in jail in Bengal. He has transitioned from being a mobile thief to a gangster. From within the Bengal jail, he orchestrates various incidents of loot and kidnapping in Bihar and several other states.
Police investigation has uncovered that the notorious criminal has masterminded incidents in several other districts in Bihar while being imprisoned in Vardhman jail. He employs new individuals for each incident. In connection with the bank robbery, the police have arrested a robber named Sunny Kumar from Darbypur in Saran. The arrested accused is from the Imadpur village in the Bhagwanpur police station in Vaishali district.
During interrogation, the robber not only confessed to his involvement in the bank robbery but also revealed the names of his accomplices in other incidents. The bike used in the loot has been seized in Patna. The police are conducting raids to apprehend other criminals involved in the Axis Bank robbery. The police are also investigating the involvement of other criminals in the loot.
About two months ago, a similar robbery took place at an Axis Bank in Ara city. The criminals entered the bank posing as customers and carried out the robbery. They overpowered 12 bank staff, stole their mobile phones, physically assaulted 10 employees, and locked them in the canteen. However, a customer managed to escape, and the criminals fled without being able to loot the lockers. The manager had filed a complaint against five unidentified criminals, and the police had launched an operation to apprehend them. The criminals had changed the color of their getaway vehicle before executing the robbery. The police have verified the names and addresses of all those involved in the incident.
