In a controversial incident at the Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank Sikhatiya Purva branch, located in the Maharajpur police station area of Kanpur, bank employees allegedly misbehaved with and assaulted a young man who had come to withdraw money. The Maharajpur police arrived at the scene after receiving information and confirmed that complaints had been filed by both parties. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
According to reports, Surendra Singh, also known as Puttan, a resident of Purvameer village, stated that he visited the bank at around 12 PM on Monday to withdraw money. At the bank, he encountered Rambabu, a resident of Mazra Doctor Farm in Domanpur.
Dispute Over Recording a Video
Rambabu alleged that Mukesh Awasthi, a private employee at the bank, had taken ₹15,000 from him, promising to facilitate a loan. However, when the loan did not materialize, Rambabu claimed that Mukesh refused to return the money. Attempting to record a video of the exchange, Rambabu said he was attacked by bank manager Vijaypal Kushwaha and cashier Vivek Uttam, who allegedly beat him with kicks and punches.
In response to the allegations, Bank Manager Vijaypal Kushwaha denied the claims, stating that recording videos or taking photographs within the bank premises is strictly prohibited. He added that when the youth was asked to stop filming, he became aggressive and misbehaved with the staff. Kushwaha dismissed the claims of assault as false and baseless.
Purvameer Chowki in-charge Prabhashankar Singh confirmed that both parties had filed complaints, and further action will be taken following a thorough investigation into the incident.
since last ten years, experienced, seasoned and vigilant officers are retired every year. Hence, young generation has no tricks to watch over staff and their activities and life style.
This is the main reason that due to hustle and bustle of work load, to know character sketch of staff for a Branch Manager that “who is who”
is very difficult.
In my opinion that one book in JAIIB must be included on the subject of ‘Human Resources and customer service”.
