In Indore, a young woman working as a bank sales executive tragically ended her life early Thursday morning. She was found lying in a pool of blood outside a building in Silicon City First Block around 4:20 am. The woman had cut her wrist vein in an apparent suicide attempt.

A student named Sangam, who lived in the same building, was the first to find her. He immediately called his friend Somil for help. They tried to talk to her and asked for her name and address, but she was unable to respond. They also asked the watchman and other people in the area, but no one knew who she was. Concerned, the two friends took her to MY Hospital, but sadly, she passed away during treatment.

Who Was the Woman?

Police later identified her as Shalu, a 27-year-old woman from Gandhinagar, Bhopal. She worked as a sales executive at Axis Bank. It was discovered that Shalu had taken loans from banks and was under significant financial stress. She lived on rent on the first floor of the Silicon City First Block.

Details of the Incident

According to the investigation by the Rau police, after cutting her wrist, Shalu climbed down the stairs and reached the campus area where she was found. Police found blood stains in her rented room, on the stairs, and in the surrounding campus. In her room, police also found a suicide note. In the note, she apologized to her parents, which suggests she was deeply troubled. Along with the note, her Aadhar card was found, confirming her identity and family address.

The police have already contacted Shalu’s family. However, the family has not yet arrived, so the postmortem examination has been postponed until they reach Indore.

What Did the Witnesses Say?

The students who took Shalu to the hospital mentioned that she had injuries consistent with a sharp object, confirming the wrist cut. She reportedly said the name “Charu” and also cried out “Maa Bachao” (which means “Mother, save me”) before losing consciousness. None of the students had ever seen her before in the building.

The police were informed early in the morning about the incident, but some students felt that the police took longer than expected to arrive at the scene.

Suicide Note and Investigation

The police found a suicide note written in a mix of Hindi and English (“Hinglish”) in a diary in Shalu’s room. This note is currently with the police and not being made public. A forensic science lab (FSL) team confirmed that this was a suicide case. However, the police will wait for the full postmortem report before making more statements.

The police are also examining Shalu’s phone call records, hoping to find more clues about the circumstances leading to her death.

Financial Troubles and Pressure

Shalu had borrowed money from banks, but the exact amount of her loans is not yet known. It appears she was worried about how to repay the loans. According to police, recovery agents from the bank had been pressuring her to pay back the money, which may have added to her stress and mental anguish. The police are continuing their investigation and will take further action based on the findings.
