Woman Files Sexual Harassment Case Against Bank Officers

A woman, who is currently posted in Shimla, has filed a case against three bank officials accusing them of sexual harassment while on duty. The incident allegedly took place in 2023 when she was posted in Dehradun. The woman claimed that the three officers at the bank sexually assaulted her and acted in violation of the rules. The name of woman has not been revealed due to privacy concerns.

The Vasant Vihar police has registered a zero FIR in the case and subsequently transferred it to Solan. A zero FIR allows for the immediate registration of a complaint in any police station, regardless of jurisdiction, to ensure prompt action. The woman had filed a complaint about five months ago, but no action was taken at the time.

The woman named three bank officials in her complaint: Amit Dutta, Dayanand Kardam, and Naresh Kumar. She accused them of calling her into their cabin and engaging in inappropriate behavior. Additionally, she claimed that the officers had followed her car on multiple occasions.

Following the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused officials in Solan. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, and further legal proceedings will be conducted accordingly.
