Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank has announced a special campaign during the Diwali festival aimed at improving PNPA, NPA, and KCC Rollover accounts. The initiative focuses on reconnecting with customers returning to their hometowns and villages during the festive season.

According to a circular issued by the bank, Diwali presents an important opportunity for officials to personally meet customers, strengthen relationships, and promote account recovery. The bank has directed all regional offices and branches to run customer contact drives throughout the festive period.

Branch managers have been instructed to personally interact with customers visiting branches, prioritize recovery of overdue loans, and carry out KCC Rollover work. Special attention will also be given to customers who were earlier marked as “out of station.” Regional offices are required to monitor the progress of branches on a daily basis.

But this order has received a major setback from employees. Many staff members have expressed concern about the timing of the directive, pointing out that rural branches often face increased workload around festivals due to higher cash transactions and customer visits.

Employees are asking – What about our feelings? How will we celebrate festival if we remain overburdened with work? What you think of this? Do let us know in the comment section below.
