Union Bank Employee Assaulted in Jaunpur UP

Malhani, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh: On Monday evening around 7:15 p.m., near the Bhainsani petrol pump in the Sarai Khwaja police station area, four men on two motorcycles attacked a bank employee. They beat him and injured him, then fled while threatening to kill him. Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the four unidentified men and started an investigation.

The victim, Ranjit Ranjan Sinha (35), works in Union Bank of India, Mubarakpur. He told the police that while closing the branch and heading towards Jaunpur city, the men stopped him from behind and began hitting him with sticks.

This incident has again raised serious question on safety of Bank employees. A few days ago, Canara Bank Chief Manager was assaulted by a loan borrower. Banks need to improve the safety and security of employees.

He suffered a serious head injury. Hearing the noise, the attackers ran away, threatening him as they left.

Police station in-charge Jaiprakash Yadav said that a case has been registered against the four unknown men on two motorcycles, and legal action is underway.
