UFBU Reply to DFS wrt PLI Issue, No Strike Announced

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has not announced strike against the new PLI scheme. On 23 August 2026, UFBU released a letter criticizing the government for the new PLI scheme but UFBU has not announced strike.

UFBU has strongly criticized the new PLI scheme. UFBU said the revised scheme covers only around 5–7% of the workforce, while more than 93–95% of employees and officers are excluded. UFBU believes this system can create division and demotivation among employees instead of encouraging teamwork. But UFBU has not announced strike. Read the letter below.
