A conciliation meeting was scheduled between UFBU and CLC on September 8, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the Conference Room of Shramev Jayate Bhawan, Sector 10, Dwarka, New Delhi. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the All India Strike announced by UFBU on 11 September 2026 demanding introduction of 5-day Banking and cancellation of new PLI scheme.

Update: Meeting over. Government not ready to declare 5-day banking. Strike stands.
Update: It’s 8.30 pm. Meeting still going on. No final decision. Government has accepted that PLI is discriminatory and now the PLI will be decided only after discussion with UFBU. The government is requesting union to defer the strike and asking UFBU to meet Finance Minister Today. As of Now, Strike continues.
Update: It’s 7pm. Meeting is still going on.
Update: One of the top leaders of UFBU has confirmed that Strike won’t be deferred without implementation of 5-day Banking.
