Another ATM robbery has been reported from Karnataka, this time in Kolar district. In a bold and well-planned crime, some unknown people broke into a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM and stole ₹27.62 lakh in cash.
The robbery took place early in the morning around 4:30 am on Monday, in an area that comes under the Ghulpet Police Station. According to the police, the ATM kiosk did not have any security guard at the time, making it easier for the thieves to carry out the robbery.

The robbers chose an SBI ATM as their target. They used gas cutters to break open the ATM’s cash box and took away more than ₹27 lakh. To avoid getting caught, they sprayed black paint on the CCTV cameras inside the ATM booth. This move disabled the cameras, preventing their faces or actions from being recorded.
Officials also revealed that the ATM’s alarm system was not working at the time. This meant no alerts were triggered during the robbery, and the thieves managed to escape without being noticed.

Right now, the police are checking CCTV footage from nearby shops and streets to find clues. They are also following any leads that could help them catch the people involved in this crime.
