Thieves Steal Rs 1.70 Lakh from Baroda Rajasthan Gramin Bank in Alwar

In a bold robbery in Alwar, thieves broke into the Bank of Baroda Regional Rural Bank in Dehra, located in the Vijay Mandir police station area, on Saturday night. The thieves managed to steal Rs 1.70 lakh from the bank, leaving a trail of destruction behind them.

According to the Vijay Mandir police station officer, the robbers used a grinder machine to cut through the bank’s grill late at night. Once inside, they stole the cash and caused additional damage by scattering documents and files throughout the bank. They even took the DVR from the bank’s CCTV system, making it harder for authorities to identify them.

This isn’t the first time the bank has been targeted. A similar robbery attempt occurred about a year ago, raising concerns about the security measures in place. Police are investigating why no security guard was present during this latest incident, especially given the previous attempt.

Currently, the police are actively searching for the culprits and reviewing security footage from nearby areas to aid in their investigation. The incident has sparked a discussion about improving security protocols at the bank to prevent future robberies.
