Tehsildar suspended for grabbing Collar of a Farmer in MP

Bhopal, MP: Tehsildar BK Patel, who grabbed a farmer’s collar in Mauganj, has been suspended by Rewa Commissioner BS Jamod. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav ordered action after the incident came to his notice.

The incident took place in Ganigma village of Devtalab sub-tehsil on September 25. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

Collector Sanjay Kumar said, “Tehsildar BK Patel has replied that the people there threatened him with an iron crowbar. They charged at him with the intention of assault. In such a situation, Patel took defensive action against the farmers to prevent a law and order situation from deteriorating.”

The Collector stated that the investigation into the matter has been entrusted to the Additional District Magistrate (ADM). He has been instructed to submit a report by Sunday.

Tehsildar said that the video was edited. He stated that the video circulating on social media was misleading and had been incorrectly edited. He added that the case was a civil court case, and the administration was required to comply with the court’s orders.

There was a land dispute between two Prajapati families in Ganigama village. Following the court’s decision, the administration arrived to hand over possession to the winning party.

During this, Tehsildar lost his temper and grabbed the collar of farmer Sushmesh Pandey. He said, “Who are you? Stop talking nonsense.” Another farmer Kaushalesh Prajapati has also accused the Tehsildar of abusing him.

In another incident, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has ordered the suspension of Morena’s Sabalgarh SDM over his account. He is accused of abusing a woman over the phone. During a public hearing at the Morena Collectorate, a victim’s family filed a complaint with Collector Ankit Asthana about SDM Arvind Mahor, along with a video. Following this, the Collector attached him to the headquarters.
