Team Sreekumar’s Manifesto
#1) Ending Late Evening Meetings: AIPNBOA President Shri Sreekumar has promised to put a complete stop to late evening meetings so that officers can maintain a healthy work-life balance. Currently, in Banks, conducting late evening meetings has become increasingly common. This adds to extra pressure on employees and disrupts the work-life balance.
#2) No Unauthorised Day-End Checks: Shri Sreekumar has assured that unauthorised and unnecessary day-end checks in branches will be stopped to reduce pressure on officers.
#3) No Working on Bank Holidays: He has promised to end the practice of making officers work on bank holidays, ensuring that employees receive their rightful rest days. Right now, holiday working has also become common in public sector banks. Officers are forced to open branches on Sunday and other holidays. This severely impacts the work-life balance of officers and should be stopped.
#4) No 9-Year Zonal Transfer Policy: Shri Sreekumar has clearly committed that the 9-year zonal transfer policy will not be implemented. The officers’ transfer policy will be improved to be more balanced and officer-friendly. The previous year, Punjab National Bank introduced a new transfer policy, wherein officers who had completed 7 years of service at a circle were transferred to a new circle. This severely disrupted the social life of bank employees, and now Sreekumar has promised to improve the transfer policy.
#5) HR and Staff Welfare Benefits for PNB Employees:
- Medical Aid: Revision of medical aid based on the revised basic pay under the latest Joint Note.
- Implementation of Pending Items as per the 9th Joint Note:
- a. Extension of the periodical health check-up scheme to all officers, irrespective of age.
- b. Reimbursement for annual eye tests for all officers.
- Lease Rental: Enhancement of lease rental limits to bring them on par with other Public Sector Banks (PSBs).
- Canteen Subsidy: Enhancement of the canteen subsidy to match present-day costs.
- Entertainment Allowance: Revision of the entertainment allowance to meet present-day requirements.
- TA Bill Issues at SWCC: Sreekumar promises to take up all cases of wrongful deductions, non-sanction of eligible TA bills, and ensure the timely approval of every claim.
- Rationalisation of Udaan Portal & Fair PAF Scoring for officers.
- Holiday Homes: Ensuring the opening of more holiday homes in prominent locations.
- KRA of Field Officers (Agri and Marketing): Presently, the KRA in the Udaan portal is generated solely on the basis of performance in their base branches. Team Sreekumar has promised to correct this anomaly and rationalise KRAs based on performance across all their attached branches.
- Work-Life Balance of Field Officers: Team Sreekumar has committed to streamlining the work profiles of our field officers and ensuring a healthy work-life balance for everyone.
- Central MRM and System Performance Committee Meetings: Team Sreekumar has promised that Central MRM meetings and System Performance Committee meetings will be conducted at the HO level at timely intervals to resolve field-level issues effectively.
- Transfer Protection: Team Sreekumar has promised to pursue the inclusion of additional provisions under transfer protection for officers, thereby strengthening the Circle Units.
- Other Welfare Measures: Team Sreekumar has assured improvements in all other staff welfare items to bring them on par with those offered in other institutions.
#6) Other Promises:
- Centralised DAC Cell: Team Sreekumar has promised to set up a dedicated Centralised DAC Cell to handle all staff-side cases routed through Circle Secretary and Circle President. Through this Cell, every member will get proper defence assistance and support in preparing replies to staff-side cases in case of need.
- Inclusion of Circle Secretaries & Presidents in CEC: Team Sreekumar has promised that all Circle Secretaries and Circle Presidents shall form part of Central Executive Committee (CEC) meetings.
- Half-yearly Zonal EC Meetings: Team Sreekumar has promised to conduct half-yearly Zonal EC meetings to ensure greater participation of EC members in association activities.
- Democratic Elections in Units: Team Sreekumar has promised to ensure that each of the units will conduct timely elections and General Body meetings democratically, ensuring greater participation of members.
- Transparent Functioning of CEC: Team Sreekumar has promised that the Central Executive Committee (CEC) will function in a fully transparent and democratic manner, giving due consideration to the views of all constituents.
- Additional AGS Positions for North East: At present, AIPNBOA provides one AGS for each zone and a separate AGS for each state where multiple states fall under a single zone. Team Sreekumar has promised that additional AGS positions will be created in the North-East region to ensure fair representation and stronger organisational support.
