A young man riding a scooter died in a horrific road accident in the Sadar Kotwali area of Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday afternoon at around 2 p.m. The accident occurred on the Auraiya – Etawah lane, near the Karampur overbridge on National Highway 19.
The deceased has been identified as Sudhir Kumar Maurya, son of Shri Krishna Maurya, a resident of Mohalla Banarasi Das, Kotwali Police Station, Auraiya. He was currently working as a manager at HDFC Bank. Sudhir was traveling from Auraiya to Muradganj on his scooter to visit his brother.
As Sudhir arrived in front of Reva Cold Storage, a speeding dumper coming from behind lost control and struck his scooter. The accident was so severe that Sudhir Kumar Maurya lost his life on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene. They took the body into custody and sent it to the Chicholi mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Police also arrested the dumper driver on the spot. More details will be released soon.
