The AIPNBOA — one of the largest officers’ associations in the banking sector — will hold its elections on 23 November 2025. As the campaign intensifies, Team Dilip Saha has issued a strong statement addressing their opponent, Shri Sreekumar. In the letter, the Circle Secretaries and Presidents from 100 circles, along with several others from the 139 circles across India, including the Head Office, have unanimously resolved to stand together and extend full support to Shri Dilip Saha and his entire team. The letter describes Shri Dilip Saha as a sincere, committed, and highly respected leader in the banking industry.
This letter is in response to remarks made by Sreekumar against Dilip Saha👇
The letter issued by Team Dilip Saha highlights several significant contributions made by him, including👇
- Drastic improvement in the Transfer Policy, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Abolition of reviews based on QR code at employee level.
- Addressing and resolving issues related to the Aagman App.
- Providing option to switch fund selection under NPS.
- Securing 100% tax relief on perquisite benefits.
- Taking up and resolving renewal-related issues.
- Extending exemptions meant for circle stay to station stay for officers transferred from Delhi.
- Taking up issues related to Risk Vertical and facilitating transfers to desired places.
- Raising Udaan Appraisal issues, which are under examination and positive consideration.
- Addressing CPLP closure—all affected officers accommodated suitably as per their requests.
- Taking up deficit circle postings—helping both officers and circles through proper staffing.
- Routine issues with SWCC handled in the normal course.
- Raising the issue of postings based on linguistic areas, leading to recruitment of Local Bank Officers (LBOs).
- Securing special concessions for officers posted in the Kashmir valley.
In addition to all the above, major achievements accomplished at the Organisational level are highlighted as under:
- The Association’s financial strength increased from ₹70 lakh to multiple crores, allowing an enhancement in ex-gratia for families of officers who lost their lives while in service — from ₹50,000 to ₹3 lakh.
- CWC meeting held successfully at Kurukshetra.
- CEC meeting organised at Mumbai without collecting any delegate fee.
- General Council declared at Kolkata, again without any delegate fee.
- Completion of pending balance sheets and ITR filings after years of delay.
- Significant growth in membership base.
The letter states that derogatory pictures, false allegations and even legal notices are being circulated to distract them from their work. It says that while others wasted time spreading negativity, they stayed focused and continued working quietly for their members. Instead of acknowledging these achievements, some individuals are using cheap tactics. They are circulating fabricated videos and baseless allegations about property sales or transfers and claiming false victimhood. The letter says that the truth will soon be presented before everyone, clearly and with facts. It adds that those who lack performance, knowledge or vision resort to lies and drama. According to the letter, these individuals have no record of achievements, no experience in handling policy matters and have never defended even a single member’s charge-sheet.
Team Dilip Saha Strongly Criticizes Sreekumar
In this letter, Team Dilip Saha has strongly criticized Sreekumar. They said that he was an employee of the erstwhile Nedungadi Bank, a private sector bank that merged with PNB in 2003, and that he never entered public sector banking through open competitive exams, which require hard work and dedication. It further states that he lost the election for AGS (Kerala) in 2015, even though only two circles were involved, indicating that even his own group did not have confidence in him at that time. He was later brought into the central committee by the then General Secretary, who nominated and supported him in becoming Sub-Treasurer in 2018 under the leadership of Com. Dilip Saha Ji. After the superannuation of Treasurer Com. William Tuscano in 2020, he was elevated to Treasurer, and in 2022 he was proposed and elected as President, with the expectation that he would learn and contribute.
Unfortunately, he neither learned nor contributed, and no major work can be credited to him either as Treasurer or as President. The letter stated that holding a post without delivering results cannot earn respect, and that in the absence of achievements, he is resorting to defaming others. The letter says there are two ways to contest an election—through merit and work, or through defaming opponents—and claims that he has chosen the second path because he has no achievements of his own.
The letter says that after discussion, Team Dilip Saha has concluded that Com. Sreekumar is not comparable with Com. Dilip Saha Ji, and that he lacks the basic understanding required to lead a national-level officers’ organisation. The letter claims that despite holding senior positions for more than three years, he has never defended a charge-sheet, never represented a case in court, never raised matters before labour authorities, never drafted official communications, never represented AIPNBOA alone before AIBOC, and never taken up any major issue on any platform. Instead of using opportunities to serve members and gain experience, he failed to develop leadership qualities.
The letter further questions whether someone who could not achieve anything as President for three years can truly deliver as General Secretary. It says that seeking the top post at the age of 52 after years of inaction shows ambition without substance, and that taking photos or posting on social media does not make a person a leader. According to the letter, true leadership comes from years of commitment, hard work, and service.
The letter also states that this is not politics but social service—a responsibility to safeguard the interests of thousands of officers—and that sincerity, not drama, earns trust. The entire transfer policy chapter was managed by five comrades: the General Secretary, President, Chairman, Working President, and the DGS from Head Office. Four of them now stand together on one side, while only one stands alone on the other, which the letter claims clearly shows who represents unity and who is isolated for the sake of a post.
