SEBI Grade A Selection Process

The selection of the candidate for SEBI Grade A will be done through 2 online examinations (Phase 1 and Phase 2) followed by an interview round. Phase-1 is a screening test and the marks scored in this stage will not be considered for final selection. The final merit list for SEBI Grade A 2025 will be prepared based on marks scored in mains & interview round.

SEBI Grade A Phase 1 Exam Pattern

  • It has two papers – each paper carries one hundred (100) marks.
  • Paper 1 will consist of 60 minutes (1 hours) duration and the same for all the streams.
  • Paper 2 will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions, the duration of each section is 40 minutes.
  • The Aggregate Cut-off to be scored is 40%.
  • There shall be a negative marking of ¼th mark for both Paper 1 & 2.

SEBI Grade A Phase 2 Exam Pattern

1. It has two papers each of 100 marks in total. 

2. Paper-1 will be descriptive in nature and time duration for paper 1 is 60 minutes (1 hour).

3. Paper-2 will be Multiple-Choice Questions and each section shall be of 40 minutes. 

4. The Aggregate Cut-off to be scored is 50%.

5. There will be negative marking of ¼ for the paper 2 in phase II.
