Recently in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sangeeta Raghav faced a serious threat from a man named Sanjay Singh. He wanted her to decide a case in his favor and became aggressive when she refused. It all started with a call late one evening to Raghav’s official phone. The caller demanded she rule favorably for someone in a pending case. When she didn’t comply, he threatened her safety. The next day, the threats continued and intensified.

Despite the caller trying to hide by turning off his phone, the police used technology like the Truecaller app to track him down in Deoria district. They swiftly acted on Raghav’s complaint, filing a First Information Report (FIR) against Sanjay Singh. He faces serious charges including criminal intimidation and insulting a public servant.
This incident highlights the challenges faced by public officials who work hard to do their jobs fairly. It also shows how technology helps law enforcement catch offenders and ensure justice is served. As the case unfolds, the community supports SDM Sangeeta Raghav and others like her who face similar threats for doing their duty. This situation reminds us of the importance of protecting public servants and standing up for justice, no matter the obstacles they face.
