Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGS-I Scheme) came into force from August 1, 2000. The Scheme provides Guarantee cover for sanction of collateral free loans to the entrepreneurs by Banks/FIs.

The CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) scheme provides guarantee cover for collateral-free loans to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). The maximum guarantee coverage limit is ₹10 crore per borrower. This applies to both term loans and working capital facilities.
