The State Bank of India (SBI) has ordered to open 19 branches and AMCC in the Puri Region on Saturday, 25 July 2026, despite it being a holiday. The decision has been taken with the approval of the competent authority to complete important business and recovery-related activities.

Why Are the Branches Being Opened?

According to the internal note, SBI decided to open the branches because of consecutive holidays and month-end business requirements. The bank said that branches with comparatively lower performance in certain business areas need to remain operational to complete pending work and improve overall performance.
