SBI Officer and Family Injured in Car Accident on Damoh-Jabalpur Road

On Thursday evening, an SBI bank officer’s car lost control, overturned, and hit a tree in the Sigrampur-Satghatiya forest on the Damoh-Jabalpur road in the Jabera police station area of Damoh district. The officer, his wife, and their two children were injured. Luckily, the Collector and Superintendent of Police were present at the spot and quickly took them to the hospital. The car was badly damaged.

Reports say that SBI Agriculture Officer Anil Kosti was traveling with his wife and two children from Sagar to Jabalpur via Damoh. Near Sigrampur, the car lost control at a crossing and overturned. At the same time, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochhar and Superintendent of Police Shrut Kirti Somvanshi were returning to Damoh after checking arrangements for the Governor’s visit to Sigrampur on October 5. When they saw the accident, they immediately intervened, rescued the injured from the car, and sent them to Hospital. The District Health Officer was also present and arranged quick treatment.

Jabera Block Medical Officer Dr. D.K. Rai said that all the injured are safe. After treatment, the family left for their destination in a private vehicle. Later, the administrative and police officials inspected the accident site and gave instructions for better safety and security on the route. Once assured that the family was fine, the Collector and Superintendent of Police left for Damoh.
