The death of a State Bank of India (SBI) manager in Deogarh district has left many questions unanswered. The manager, Subash Agarwal, who lived in Ainthapali area in Sambalpur district, was found dead in a hotel room.

Just four days before his death, Agarwal had been transferred to Deogarh and hadn’t arranged permanent accommodation yet. Therefore, he was staying in a hotel. Additionally, the day before his death, Agarwal had attended a function along with his family members.

Agarwal’s family had come to Deogarh to attend a marriage function scheduled for that day. When Agarwal didn’t answer his phone, his family became concerned and went to his hotel room to check on him. Even after the hotel staff knocked on his door in the morning, he didn’t respond.

While the exact cause of Agarwal’s death is unknown, the police arrived at the scene and sent his body for autopsy to determine the cause of death. The family members of the deceased claim to have no information about what happened, as there were no disputes within the family.

“It has only been three days since he started his new job here. We have no idea what happened since he couldn’t have done anything on his own,” said a relative.
