SBI donates Rs.2 crore for upgradation of 40 schools in Uttar Pradesh

State Bank of India (SBI) – India’s largest public sector bank has donated Rs.2 crore for upgradation of 40 schools in Uttar Pradesh. SBI chairman Challa Srinivasulu Setty visited Lucknow on Saturday and presented a cheque of Rs 2 crore to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the upgrade of 40 primary schools in the state. This initiative is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and the fund will be used to improve the infrastructure and educational resources in these schools.

The CM appreciated SBI’s CSR initiatives and mentioned the bank’s efforts in expanding quality education in Uttar Pradesh. He commended SBI’s commitment to contributing to the state’s development and enhancing educational infrastructure.

Setty said, “This is our contribution towards strengthening primary education in Uttar Pradesh. This contribution will help in creating better, clean and educational environment to the children of rural areas, which will lead them towards a bright future.”

SBI Chairman CS Setty also inaugurated 27 new branches across Uttar Pradesh to provide easier access to the banking services for customers especially in rural and underserved areas.
