The arrested customer, Rahul Jaiswal, is a resident of Neel Cottage, Maldahiya. He works as a clerk at the SBI Cantt Railway Station branch. All the accused were taken to the Cantt police station, where they are being questioned.

ACP Cantt Nitin Taneja said, “A case is being registered against all the accused under relevant sections. The police will take further action based on the evidence, and all will be sent to jail.”
Police officials said that cases like this highlight the growing misuse of rented residential properties for illegal activities, making it difficult for local residents to detect such operations early. The police have appealed to landlords to properly verify tenants and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
Meanwhile, the banking authorities are also expected to take note of the arrest, as employees of public sector banks are required to maintain high standards of conduct both at work and in personal life. Further action will depend on the outcome of the police investigation and court proceedings.
