SBI Assistant Manager commits suicide in Kasganj, Wife says he was harassed by Seniors

In a heartbreaking incident in Kasganj, a 32-year-old assistant manager of the State Bank of India (SBI) was found dead in his home. The man, identified as Akash, reportedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan using a rope. His wife, Bhavna, fainted upon discovering his lifeless body.

Bhavna has accused her husband’s workplace of harassment. She claimed that his manager would often call him into the office, even on Sundays. According to her, there were threats of suspension if he refused to comply. Bhavna believes that the pressure from work contributed to her husband’s tragic decision to take his own life.

Details of the Incident

The incident took place in Awas Vikas Colony, where Akash lived with his wife and their one-year-old daughter, Mishti. The couple had been married for two years. Two days before the tragedy, Bhavna had gone to her maternal home with their daughter.

On the morning of the incident, she tried to reach Akash several times but received no answer. Concerned, she contacted their landlord, Ajit Singh. When the landlord knocked on the door and received no response, he looked through the window and was shocked to see Akash hanging. He immediately broke down the door to help and called the police, as well as informing Bhavna.

Police Investigation

Upon arrival, police began their investigation at the scene. They spoke with the landlord and Bhavna, collecting evidence from the room. Notably, no suicide note was found, leaving many questions unanswered.
