SBI acquires building for Rs 414 crore for Maharashtra LHO

State Bank of India (SBI) has acquired leasehold rights to an 8,581-square-metre land parcel in Pune, along with outright ownership of a building standing on the land, for Rs 414 crore.

The property is located at Kharadi Knowledge Park in Kharadi, one of Pune’s prominent commercial and office hubs, which has emerged as a key business district in the city.

According to the documents, the SBI will establish Local Head Office (LHO) for its Maharashtra Circle. The bank had invited bids in April 2023 for the purchase of ready-built premises in Kharadi, Viman Nagar or Baner for this purpose.

The building comprises a basement, stilt and 15 floors. It also includes 200 car parking spaces. The building’s built-up area is 17,101.23 square metres. The deed of assignment for the transaction was registered on August 14, 2026, and had a stamp duty of Rs 28.98 crore.

SBI paid Rs 41.4 crore in December 2023, Rs 289.8 crore in 2024, and the remaining Rs 82.8 crore on August 14, 2026, taking the total amount to Rs 414 crore.
