Rupam Roy has assumed the role of the new General Secretary of the All India State Bank Officers’ Federation (AISBOF). The decision was unanimously made during the 6th Executive Committee Meeting of AISBOF, held in Chandigarh on November 26-27, 2024, the federation announced on Sunday.
Leadership Transition
Roy succeeds Deepak K. Sharma, who retired from the State Bank of India on November 30, 2024. In addition to his new role, Roy also serves as the General Secretary of the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC), further strengthening his leadership profile in the banking sector.
New President Elected
In the same meeting, Arun Kumar Bishoyi, the General Secretary of the SBIOA Bhubaneswar Circle, was elected as the new President of AISBOF. The appointments mark a significant change in leadership for AISBOF as it continues to represent and advocate for State Bank officers across the country.
