Rupam Roy Elected as General Secretary of SBI Officers’ Federation for 3 Years

The All-India State Bank Officers’ Federation (AISBOF) announced on Sunday that Rupam Roy has been elected as the General Secretary of the federation for the next three years.

This election took place during the 29th Triennial General Council meeting of AISBOF, which was held in Hyderabad. A Triennial Council is a major meeting held every three years where key decisions and elections are conducted.

According to the official statement from the Federation, in the elections held on Sunday, Arun Kumar Bishoyi was re-elected as President, and Rupam Roy was re-elected as General Secretary. Both of them were elected unanimously, which means that all the members supported their leadership. This shows that the union members have full trust and confidence in their leadership abilities for the upcoming term of 2025 to 2028.

During the council meeting, the Federation also passed several important resolutions (official decisions) aimed at protecting the rights and interests of SBI officers. These resolutions also focus on contributing positively to society as a whole, showing that the Federation not only works for its members but also cares about the larger community.

The event was attended by senior officials of State Bank of India, including Vinay M Tonse, Managing Director of SBI, and Kishore Kumar Poludasu, Deputy Managing Director (Human Resources). Their presence added importance to the event and showed the strong relationship between the bank’s top management and the officers’ federation.
