Rs 2.89 Lakh Embezzled at Nawada Central Cooperative Bank, FIR Filed Against Two Employees

A case of embezzlement of Rs 2.89 lakh has come to light in Nawada Central Cooperative Bank. In this case, branch in-charge manager Pawan Kumar and assistant Bulbul Kumari have been accused of embezzlement of money. Bank MD Arun Kumar has lodged an FIR in Nawada Nagar police station.

Arun Kumar said that the matter was revealed when the officials from Patna came to investigate the Par Nawada branch after the bank meeting. A total shortage of Rs 2,89,050 was found in the investigation. After this, the branch was found closed. The cash of the bank is matched and in the process of getting the cash, less cash was found. This itself indicates that this is a case of complete embezzlement.

When the officials from Patna had a meeting, only then the discussion took place and then the money was matched. It was found that money was missing from the bank. In the investigation, it was also found that the cash book register of the bank was also not maintained properly. Both the employees are not coming to the bank since the allegation of embezzlement of money. This has deepened the suspicion on them.

The police has started investigating the case. Nawada City Police Station is investigating the entire matter. City Police Station in-charge Avinash Kumar said that an FIR has been registered on the basis of the application and further investigation is being done.
