Robbery in Central Bank of India, Cashier beaten and staff held hostage

Bihar: In the town of Chhapra, an alarming incident took place at the Central Bank in Aphar village of Amanour police station area. More than a dozen unidentified armed criminals looted approximately Rs 10 lakh from the bank. The criminals not only took the customers and bank employees hostage but also subjected the bank cashier to physical assault.

Police Response and Investigation

Local residents promptly notified the police about the robbery. DSP Ram Naresh Paswan of Madhaura, along with the in-charge officers of Amanour and Bheldi police stations, arrived at the scene and initiated a thorough investigation. According to the police, the armed criminals assaulted the cashier and forcefully took away around Rs 10 lakh from the Central Bank. The bank employees reported being beaten with the butt of a gun. Additionally, the criminals stole the cashier’s Oppo mobile phone and a Samsung mobile belonging to the assistant branch manager. As they fled, they also damaged the CCTV’s hard disk.

Efforts to Apprehend the Culprits

Saran’s Superintendent of Police, Dr. Kumar Ashish, confirmed that the armed criminals had successfully looted approximately Rs 10 lakh from the Central Bank in the Amanour police station area. In response, a blockade was immediately set up, and an intensive investigation was launched from all angles. The CCTV footage from the bank is currently under scrutiny, as it is expected to play a crucial role in identifying and apprehending the criminals. Multiple police stations have initiated raids in an attempt to locate the culprits. Superintendent of Police Dr. Kumar Ashish expressed confidence that the case would be solved soon.
