Robbery attempt at Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank in Mathura

An attempted burglary took place at Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank near Parkham Crossing in Farah town, Mathura, early Sunday morning. The incident is believed to have happened after 4:00 AM. Unidentified thieves entered the bank by breaking the window grille at the back of the building.

Thieves Try to Break Strongroom Safe

After entering the bank, the thieves used a grinder to cut through the strongroom door. They then tried to break open the safe but failed. Before leaving the bank, the thieves took away the DVR connected to the CCTV cameras.

Bank Manager Informed About Incident

Bank Manager Rajat Chaudhary said he had left for home after closing the bank on Friday. Since Saturday was a holiday, he was informed about the broken window grille at around 10:30 AM on Sunday by Madhav Upadhyay, who runs a Jan Seva Kendra next to the bank.

The manager reached the bank at around 11:00 AM and informed the police through the Dial 112 emergency service.

Police and Forensic Team Investigate

After receiving the information, police and a forensic team reached the bank and inspected the site. Evidence was collected from the location as part of the investigation.

According to the bank manager, the thieves entered the bank from the rear side through an empty plot next to the building. They broke the window grille to gain entry and then moved towards the strongroom.

CCTV Footage Being Examined

Farah police are examining CCTV footage from nearby locations to identify the suspects.

Farah SHO Chhotelal said the police received information through a Dial 112 alert. Preliminary investigation suggests that the burglary attempt took place on Saturday night. CCTV footage from nearby cameras shows that police patrols were active in the area until around 4:30 AM, indicating that the incident may have occurred after that time.

Case Registered Against Unidentified Thieves

The bank management has filed a complaint against unidentified thieves at Farah police station. Police have started a search for the suspects and are using CCTV footage and other evidence to identify and arrest them.
