Robbery Attempt at SBI Bank in Rajasthan, Plan was to attack Bank Guard, 5 Arrested on Spot

In a major breakthrough, police have successfully stopped an attempted robbery at the State Bank of India (SBI) in Begun. Five criminals, part of an inter-state gang, were arrested while they were planning the robbery. The gang intended to take the bank’s security guard hostage as part of their plan.

Begun is a city and a municipality in Chittaurgarh district in the state of Rajasthan, India.

How the Robbery Plot Was Foiled

On Wednesday night, Shivlal Meena, the officer in charge of Begu police station, received a tip-off about the gang’s activities. Acting on the information, the police swiftly moved to Rawla Bawdi, located in front of the Neelkanth Mahadev temple. The criminals were hiding behind a 10-foot-high wall. The police managed to arrest them on the spot before they could execute their plan.

The gang had a disturbing plan to rob the bank. They planned to use chilli powder to blind the guard and then tie him up with a rope to take control of the bank. Fortunately, their plan was thwarted before they could cause any harm.

The Arrested Criminals

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  1. Premchand (20) from Vijaynagar
  2. Raju (22) from Begu Rawada
  3. Sunil (35) from Mandawari
  4. Bobby Deol (20) and Himmat (20)

Police recovered several items from the suspects, including swords, knives, bikes, chilli powder, and ropes, all of which were part of their criminal plan.

Gang’s Criminal Activities Across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

During the interrogation, the gang members revealed that they were involved in multiple criminal activities across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They have been linked to several robberies and crimes in various districts, including Begu, Parsoli, Bhainsrodgarh, Mandalgarh, Bijolia, Bigod, Raipur, Shahpura, and Vijaynagar in Rajasthan. Additionally, their criminal activities have been identified in Ratangarh and Singoli in Madhya Pradesh. In total, they confessed to being involved in 19 different crimes.

Legal Action

The five criminals have been sent to court and are now under a two-day police remand for further investigation. Authorities are working to uncover more details about their activities and connections.
