RBI issues Amendment Directions on Standardised Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk

The Reserve Bank of India had issued draft Amendment Directions on the ‘Standardised Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR)’ on June 10, 2026, inviting feedback from stakeholders until July 1, 2026. Accordingly, the Reserve Bank has today released the Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks – Forthcoming Instructions) Amendment Directions, 2026. These instructions will come into effect from April 1, 2027.
