The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Shri Aviral Jain as Executive Director (ED), effective from October 1, 2024.
Before his promotion, Shri Jain served as the Regional Director for Maharashtra. With over three decades of experience, he has worked in key areas including supervision, currency management, foreign exchange regulation, and human resource management.
As Executive Director, Shri Jain will oversee the Legal Department, Premises Department, and act as the First Appellate Authority under the Right to Information Act.
He holds a postgraduate degree in economics and certifications in AML/KYC, Capital Markets, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF).
