MP Raghav Chadha has once again slammed the union government over income tax. Recently, the government had presented Budget 2025. In the budget, the government announced that individuals earning up to Rs.12 lac per year need not pay tax on income. All the citizens of India highly welcomed this decision but soon some people started criticizing the government. In this article, we will understand whether there is any hidden story behind it or not. First, listen to the speech of MP Raghav Chadha. 👇

New Tax Slabs and Rates

  • Up to ₹4,00,000: 0% tax
  • ₹4,00,000–₹8,00,000: 5% tax
  • ₹8,00,000–₹12,00,000: 10% tax
  • ₹12,00,000–₹16,00,000: 15% tax
  • ₹16,00,000–₹20,00,000: 20% tax
  • ₹20,00,000–₹24,00,000: 25% tax
  • Above ₹24,00,000: 30% tax

The government has presented the above tax slabs in budget 2025. If the income of an individual exceeds Rs.12 lacs per year, then the individual needs to pay income tax as per slabs. It means that individuals earning till Rs.12 lac per year are actually getting rebate on income – the income is not completely exempted from tax.

People are saying that the government should have been a little more flexible. If a person earns Rs.15 lacs per year then he/she will have to pay income tax on Rs.15 lacs. People are saying that instead of this, tax should have been levied on income of Rs.3 lacs. This would have helped the citizens a lot. 1. What nonsense is this? Whether the budget is good or not, those who oppose will continue to oppose. But this budget is historic, specially considering the salaried and middle-class people who have always honestly paid their taxes. The whole country is welcoming this budget of the government.

  2. Initially, people were expecting tax exemption on 7 lacs annual income. Now, when the govt has decided to give relaxation on 12 lacs. And 4 lacs for those getting more than 12 lacs annually.
People still are not satisfied, no got can do more than this. Very good decision of govt, we should appreciate, nothing to criticise.

  3. This is just another way of looting the middle class, instead of the slabs any income above 12 lakhs could have been taxed which would have actually benefited a lot of people.

    1. See a BiG relief to employees…
About 6000 per month income will increase …as NO INCOME TAX IF EARNING IS LESS THAN 1 LAC PER MONTH…
JUST GUESS…ABOUT 2 CRORES MIDDLE CLASS PLUS THER FAMILY MINIMUM 10 CRORES POPULATION IS BENEFIT
IT IS GOD CREATED THIS BLESSINGS THROGH PRESENT BJP TO MIDDLE CLASS..

  4. Most of person of middle class having income upto Rs. 12 lacs and FM has given relief to them. People having income more then 12 lacs has also get some relief.hence every person get some relief. Some people has a habit to critise every decision to run their political carrier.because they are having freedom of speech.

  5. Raghav Chaddha is absolutely right. Govt should take tax after deduction of rs 1200000 if earning is more than 1200000. Then it would have been given rebate on tax. It is just eyewash.
